Points of Light, 100x100 cm
On the back of the painting is written an extract of a poem by the Danish priest, author, and poet Johannes Møllehave:
"Comforting words are difficult,
when you live with pain.
But you are wrong when you think
you have to run from the world.
You are the light that was lit,
you will bring warmth and light.
If the light that has been lit extinguishes,
more people will be cold."
you will bring warmth and light.
If the light that has been lit extinguishes,
more people will be cold."
Acrylic on canvas.
Measures 100 x 100 cm / 39.4" x 39.4"

Julie Bidstrup (f. 1977) inspireres af kontraster og historier. Formsproget finder vi et sted imellem den rå street-art og graffiti, de gamle impressionister, pop-art og Tim Burtons kantede univers.
