The frog with the widest smile, he is holding on to his golden snail.
He should really either release it or eat it. He smiles easily, but just how genuine the smile is we do not know.
It may all seem a bit trivial but reality is often a lot more complex.
The painting was created from a dear friend's exprience of being trapped in that golden hamster wheel. Of doing so well in life that 'getting off the bus' becomes difficult.
Do you hold on to your so-called happiness or do you dare step outside the box and see what you are left with?
It is a fear inducing big step which requires heaps of courage.
At the bottom of the painting is written 'I give longingly' in Danish.
Made in a limited edition of just 40 prints.
