HOME, Annual giclée 2021 (22x30 cm)
The annual giclée for 2021 is called HOME. After a world turned upside down, everything returns to normal; or something similar. I am back to the roots, where security and grounding take place. In the background is the word 'earned', because trust has to be earned.
She sits on her knees dressed in purity and innocence, as children so often are. Carefully she holds a colorless poppy between her fingers. Maybe she plays 'love-love-not', maybe later she can choose its color herself.
The work is quite calm in its expression, but in the background small explosions of color await a party.
