Down the Rabbit Hole (Original), 80x120 cm
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the paradox of whether it is an adventure, an experience - or is it an escape from reality?
The perspective is twisted and the tiny rabbit has gained volume and a glimpse of grotesqueness . He is still so very busy and on his way to something, what we do not know.
In another part of the picture it is about being able to turn mechanisms on and off - about being in motion or being controlled. And of laboriously breaking down patterns and walls; one stone at a time.
There are two paintings in this series.
Acrylic, coal, and mixed media on canvas.
Measures 80 x 120 cm / 31.5" x 47.2"

Kunstneren bag BidsArt
Julie Bidstrup
