The French painter Toulouse-Lautrec was 142 cm (4’7”) and went about as a man of the world. He painted pictures of cabaret girls, dancers, pastis, and wine. In this picture he meets an animé girl in sensible shoes, who sends paper planes into the world. These two are from different eras but yet they meet in a frame, where the feeling of being together, just the two of them, can be overwhelming.
