The painting is part of the series with the working title 'Natural guardians and those that must be procted'. In the series the pieces revolve around defenceless refugee children and fragile destinies. Guardians are needed who can bring hope and light.
Aung San Suu Kyi has been criticised lately, but she has devoted her life to fight for democracy in Burma. The painting depicts a parallel universe with very different values. So while we gently polishes our fine china a voice from another part of the world yells:
"Please use your liberty to promote ours!"
